According to google.maps and the IRS it will cost you 71 cents in gas in your car on average to get downtown from my apartment. If you live on 183 and Burnet it will cost you $3.35 to get downtown. You don't want to know what my co-worker who lives in Roundrock pays in gas. If you live close to downtown on the east side of town, you'll be looking at $1.41. If you live in the South Congress business district it's $1.50. P.S. Biking is still free.
